I love mice. Every chance I get I sneak them into my illustrations where kids can find them, peaking out from a flower pot or sneaking under a stair. I loved designing this backyard wildlife book and sketching out the interior pages. It is so intriguing to think of the world from a mouse’s point of view…
This book comes in two sizes, large and small, and also can include a dandy stuffed mouse and/or tape.

Of all my books, this is my favorite. Making a gingerbread house was my inspiration for the book — after all, it is the perfect size for a mouse to move into when it’s cold and snowy outside. Adding my own gingerbread cookie recipe was the icing on the…cookie I guess…oh, well, I got to bake and eat cookies while working on the pictures.
